~Walking In The Light~
In this podcast, Elders Randall & DeBorrah K. Ogans share biblically based insight, guidance, and advice on Life & Living, Marriage & Relationships, Family & Parenting, Faith & Belief, Church & Religion, Spiritual Health, and more.
Weekly episodes encourage listeners to live life out loud, walking/living in the light, doing what the Lord requires of us in every area of life. What does the Lord require of us? To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.
Jesus said "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life".
To walk in the light is to have a daily commitment to living out a righteous life. Blessed(happy) are those who walk in the light of His presence. His word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. For it is in Him that we live, and move, and have our being.
This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanseth us from all sin.
Always keep in mind, the transforming power of the Lord, is truth. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and everything else will be added unto you.

Grief
Grief is a normal reaction to significant loss. Initial reactions often involve shock and numbness, followed by feelings of hopelessness, abandonment, and asking "why me?" Anger and resentment, leading to ambivalence, are also common initial symptoms.
How can a Christian find solace and comfort during grief?
For Christians, finding solace in God's Word is a significant resource. Spending time with God, even if not feeling like talking, can lead to experiencing His abiding presence as the "Comforter." Embracing God's promise to "never leave us nor forsake us" and focusing on Him can bring joy and a peaceful sense of well-being, even amidst suffering. Daily prayer, praise, and studying God's Word are encouraged to gain a spiritual perspective and strength.
Focusing on God, even in the midst of grief, can lead to a favorable outcome. While it doesn't mean the absence of hurt or sadness, it provides joy and a peaceful sense of well-being. This joy stems from knowing God as the ultimate source of strength and comfort. Developing an intimate personal relationship with Him, and believing and applying His Word, can transform one's mind to think spiritually, helping navigate grief and other trials.
